Sony’s anime streaming giant Crunchyroll partnered with Starz on Wednesday to launch their first-ever joint subscription bundle on Amazon Prime Video in the United States, offering subscribers a 23% discount on a combined catalog of premium action, drama, and anime.
Pricing and How to Get the New Streaming Discount
The newly released package is priced at $17 per month. This joint offer provides significant savings compared to purchasing the services individually, as Crunchyroll’s standalone entry tier costs $10 per month and Starz is priced at $12 per month.
According to the companies, this strategic partnership aims to deliver a diverse entertainment mix that spans female-driven dramas, science fiction, thrillers, and adventure anime.
Active Amazon Prime Video members in the US can access the deal immediately. To subscribe, users must log into their Prime Video accounts, locate the Starz-Crunchyroll bundle option, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transaction.
“This offering brings together two services with distinctive programming, giving viewers access to a range of stories and genres,” Alison Hoffman, president of Starz Networks, stated.
Terry Li, Crunchyroll’s chief product officer, emphasized the accessibility goal of the partnership: “At Crunchyroll, we believe anime is a powerful medium for storytelling and connection, and our goal is to continue bringing it to more audiences in more accessible ways.”
What Content Is Included in the Bundle?
Premium Movies and Dramas on Starz
Subscribers to the bundle gain access to the complete Starz library, which features major franchises and upcoming releases. Key highlights include the entire Power Universe, featuring the series finale of Power Book III: Raising Kanan on August 7. Other upcoming television premieres include the CBS crime-drama spinoff S.W.A.T. Exiles, starring Shemar Moore, on September 25, and the highly anticipated prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood on September 18.
On the film side, Starz will host the exclusive first-run streaming premiere of the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, on August 10. The platform’s movie catalog also features Sydney Sweeney’s thriller The Housemaid and the action film Shelter, starring Jason Statham.

As the largest dedicated anime platform globally, Crunchyroll boasts over 21 million subscribers. The service features massive anime hits, including iconic series such as Dragon Ball, Naruto, Afro Samurai, My Hero Academia, and Cowboy Bebop.
The Growing Trend of Streaming Bundles
While this marks Crunchyroll’s first foray into bundled services, Starz has actively expanded its distribution through similar deals. On Prime Video, Starz is currently available in a bundle with Hallmark Plus for $14 a month. Additionally, Peacock users can purchase Starz as a direct add-on subscription within the Peacock application.
